Greetings to all of you who have found the way to this web address and here are few facts about my self and my work :

First of all if you're having a hard time reading my last name ( Butrakovic ) - it can be red like this : boot-ra-kou-wich !

So let's continue, shall we ? I am 34 year old, independent filmmaker based in Zagreb, Croatia who's in love with Canon DSLR HD video system and all the gadgets around this unique way of capturing motion pictures. I'm usually shooting, directing and editing most of my movies but I'm also doing work as a DoP or Steadicam operator for other productions/agencies as well.

I've been shooting with Canon DSLR HD video system from December 2008. and after I have published my first DSLR based web video BESPLA almost all of my video work has been DSLR based. It was hard and bumpy ride since then and completely different thing from my prior five year experience when I have worked for RTL - national broadcaster in Croatia as an ENG cameraman specializing in reality and docu-soap TV formats. (2004.-2009.)

I've never been a fan of rented gear so throughout time I have acquired my own gear : several Canon DSLR HD camera bodies, Canon EF prime lenses (L series from 8mm to 600mm), Steadicam stabilization rig equipped with cinema quality wireless follow focus unit, HD wireless link, tracking dolly system, variety of light kits, cinema quality sound kit, 12ft camera jib, aerial filming drones ... In early 2011. I joined up the best close range aerial filming team in the region - Robert Godrijan and Davor Crnogorac of HELIFOTO as an camera operator/post production specialist and as a reserve UAV pilot. Together we have developed several types of multirotor UAVs capable of advanced aerial filming tasks : B_X8, B_HEXA, MAXI JOKER. We are constantly testing new features of our drones and our helicopters and this moment we are the most experienced close range aerial filming team in this part of Europe. OK, back to business now ... I am available for DSLR system based shooting anywhere in the world - ground and aerial ! So far I've been shooting in 17 countries on 5 continents and if you want to hire me please note that I'm not alone - we are team of two. My assistant is not just an assistant, he is a grip guy very offten, light guy even more offten and he's also focus puller in Steadicam operations. If you going to hire us for aerial filming that means also team of two : Robert Godrijan - UAV pilot responsible for flying aerial rigs and me - operating the camera gimbals and taking care of data processing.
